With a coastline spanning ~4700 miles (7560 km), it can be
easily implied that India is blessed with a Sea of beaches (pun intended).
While the best beach resorts in India are located in Goa and Kerala, they are
the most populated too. If you are a beach person (we all are, aren’t we!), you
would agree that privacy is an equally important factor when deciding on a
beach destination. This holds especially true if you are out on a family or a
romantic getaway. We decided to pen down the 3 most secluded beaches in India.
Here they are:
Gokarna Beach, Karnataka.

Gokrana Beach, Karnataka |
Untapped is its potential and virgin its frontiers – this is
exactly why the Gokarna Beaches in Northern Karnataka is what you should look
for. Gokarna still enjoys relative isolation from tourists and is quaint and
serene. The weather is perfect for outdoor picnics and some beachside fun. Probably
one of the most sacred Hindu town in Southern India, it is ironical that
Gokarna is known more for its temples than its beaches. The four beaches are
called Kudle, Halfmoon, Paradise and Om beach.

Varkala Beach, Kerala |
An hour’s drive north of Trivandrum, Kerala lies the virgin
island of Varkala. The proprietor of one of the best sunsets you’ll ever see in
India, Varkala is a typical tropical beach blessed by greenery and ample
rainfall. The weather is fantastic and temperatures never go beyond 30˚C. Hotel
tariffs range from $50—200 and you will find the odd beach shack hosting
parties late into the night. A bit of everything for everyone.
